Today we travelled to Stair Park to face Stranraer Reserves in the South of Scotland League. The home side have started the season strongly with 5 wins from their first 5 games.

Stranraer started strongly and had several chances including hitting the post & bar a few times. Lee Bass’s side defended superbly to keep the score 0-0 at half time. Creetown keeper Laurie Johnstone having a number of fine saves during a tough 45 mins.

The 2nd half was another battle against a good Reserve side and Creetown held the home side until the 75th minute when after a scramble in the box, the ball fell to ex Creetown man Dean Fyfe who eventually got the ball over the line to give the home side the lead. Stranraer’s fitness was starting to show and soon another ex Creetown man Jonny Baxter put the Reserves 2 0 up. Soon it was 3-0 and game over.
