Co Manager off to pastures new

The club are sad to confirm that co manager Neil Erskine will leave the club & the area for a new job down south. Portpatrick man Neil has secured himself a dream job in London. We are extremely happy for Neil & the club would like to go on record to thank Neil for all his hard work in his short time at the club. The gaffer will leave the club at the end of February. Neil told Creetownfc.co.uk " I've really enjoyed my time down here. We have had some good results in a short space of time & the lads have been brilliant from my first day. Striker & Goalkeeper Added to Squad

Creetown F.C. are delighted to announce the signings of striker Kieran Kenny & goalkeeper Euan Telfer. Coach Ben Herries told Creetowfc.co.uk " We are delighted to add to the squad with the difficult run of games we are currently on. Kieran has been training with the club for a few weeks now & has impressed the management team & also featured in our last couple of games against YM & Threave. It gives us another option up top and that can only be a good thing for the Club" Meanwhile young goalkeeper Euan Telfer has agreed to put pen to paper after impressing the club at training. The club have been made aware a number of complaints & posts made on football forum's & Social media after Saturday's win at home to Threave Rovers with regards to playing an ineligible player in the game. As a Quality Mark club, Creetown F.C. will always try to the best of our knowledge to follow standards & rules set by the SOSFA & SFA. In this particular case the club contacted the relevant people long before Saturday's game as the player in question also made an appearance in the previous week's game against Dumfries YMCA. As we strive to improve our small club on & off the park I can assure everyone that as club with committee members with many years experience dealing with registrations ect that we will always try to do things by the book to the best of our knowledge. Scorers. Mitchell, Taylor & Hughes Yesterday welcomed current South Champions to Castle Cary park in the SOS League. The home side started brightly taking the game to Threave early on. Soon the home side found themselves 1 0 up through a fine Glen Mitchell header.
