New head coach Lee Bass takes his young Creetown side to Galabank Stadium tomorrow evening to face Annan Athletic Reserves in our opening SOS League match of the Season.

Despite only a couple of friendly games the gaffer has been happy with the commitment from the players in pre season sessions. The squad currently stand at 24 with a number of younger players plus a few more experienced ones joining.

Club Chairman Eric Houston has also been happy with the way the new head coach and his team have fitted in at the club. Eric told creetownfc.co.uk today

” Lee and his team have been working extremely hard over the summer & it’s great to see the commitment shown to the club. Again we have lost a number of big players over the summer including Harry Fidler, Ross Drysdale, Robbie Smith & Stevie Beggs. Youngsters Ryan Alison & Robert Dargie have also left the club so we were a little short on numbers . The coaching team have worked extremely hard and some fantastic young players have come in along with a few experienced lads. The only real downside to pre season was the broken leg young Kian Dingwall suffered last Saturday.

I am looking forward to the season ahead as always & can’t wait to see the lads progress throughout the season”
