Yesterday we welcomed Lochar Thistle FC to Castle Cary Park in the South Regional Challenge Cup. It was Creetown this week that started the game brightly and soon were in the lead after some great play by Frazer Henderson & Joe McMillan seen captain David Hughes slide the ball past the Lochar keeper to make it 1 0.

Soon after Hughes had another chance but this time his shot was of target. Creetown soon had a second goal this time it was Wullie Cloy giving his side a 2 goal lead. Lochar then got a goal back against the run of play but Frazer Anderson soon restored Creetown 2 goal lead when again some great play by young Joe McMillan seen Anderson slide in at the back post to score his second goal of the season.

A fine first half performance was rounded of by the impressive Joe McMillan who got his deserved goal to send his team in 4 1 up at half time. The youngster had been involved in all Creetown good play during the first half.

As expected, Lochar Thistle came out for the second half on the front foot and soon had a second goal. Thistle were now attacking the Creetown goal trying to get back in to the game but we’re finding the Creetown rear guard & keeper in no mood to lose their lead. Creetown then came back in to the game & again it was that man McMillan that extended our lead with a fine worked goal to make the score 5 – 2.

With time running out Lochar then got a 3rd goal to make the full time score 5 – 3
