Season Kicks off with a trip to Annan

This season’s league campaign gets underway this Friday evening when new head coach Lee Bass takes his side to Annan for a 7.30 kick off. The lads will have 2 more pre season sessions this Monday & Wednesday before the big kick off.

The Gaffer has been happy with the lads since he came in and can’t wait to get started against Annan.

” The boys have been great during pre season” Lee told us,

” It’s hard at his time of year to get lads to commit to training but numbers have been good and I am happy with how things are progressing. We currently have 20 players signed for the season & still have a few trialists in and we hope to have a few more signed this week”

A full list of new signings will be published after training on Wednesday night.

Lee also has a BSC Sports Development Degree. Club Chairman Eric Houston is delighted at the appointment and told us

” We are over the moon to have Lee involved in the club. We have a history here at CFC of giving new managers & players the chance to show what they can do at this level. Lee is extremely keen to get started & the club beleve with his past experiences this is the best appointment for us moving forward. Lee is a really dedicated individual and we are sure he can do a great job here at Castle Cary along with his newly formed coaching team”
